Well this is it - a first posting. What to say? Went to employee training today at the local quilt shop to learn about the differences in Bernina machines. Then spent the rest of the day learning more about the BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator) doing free motion quilting. What a blast.

Had gone to a Carol Taylor class last month so had wonderful threads to include. Am currently working on my charms for the Mary Lou Weidman charm swap.

Okay, so where's the second post?! LOL! Thanks for leaving me comments, but your comments came through as "no-reply" so I thought I'd leave you a comment back. Both those photos on my blog are burns from the iron--ARGH! I actually have another one now, but it looks much like the one that resembles a slit wrist--which in my twisted way, seems kind of humorous. Your "getaway" weekend with friends sounds wonderful. I hope you make it to Goodwill and/or Salvation Army one of these days--I never seemed to find anything before but I've sure been finding things this week and it's tons of fun!

Hi Kim
just haven't figured out how all of this blog stuff works. want to post pictures of my third floor porch garden but cannot figure out how. also just checked email follow up comments to me - an oversight that I am sure is to blame for my not getting your comments (maybe) do you have any other ideas? I posted on another blog and that one came through okay:-) deb

oh and I love mysteries too. go between cosies and british:-) who are some of your favorites? the last two that I read were the most recent elaine viet's clubbed to death (from the dead end job series - they are great for a light read) and the most recent charlaine harris vampire series ( I know that sounds kind of weird but they are great) she has several series going and I love each one. deb
